Bone injection may boost antibiotic power in hip surgery

Summary
This study looks at whether giving antibiotics directly into the bone during hip replacement surgery can increase drug levels in blood and tissue compared to standard IV antibiotics alone. About 25 adults having a first hip replacement will take part. Researchers will measure antibiotic concentrations and track any complications for 90 days after surgery.
