First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether a 3D intraoral scan (a camera that takes pictures inside your mouth) can detect dental plaque and cavities as accurately as current methods. Researchers will compare the scan's results to standard plaque dye and X-rays. The study involves 50 adults aged 18 to 70 who have at least 20 teeth.
