Summary
This study looks at whether using extra monitoring tools during major abdominal surgery can help high-risk patients (aged 50 and older) spend less time on a breathing machine afterward. Half of the 100 participants will receive standard care, while the other half will have advanced monitoring that tracks blood flow and brain oxygen levels. The goal is to see if this approach leads to faster recovery and fewer complications.
