First seen Feb 24, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This early study tests whether a special flashing white light can safely help ease depression symptoms. Thirty adults with mild to moderate major depressive disorder will receive 10 light sessions over two weeks, while staying on their current medication. Researchers will monitor side effects and check if mood improves, aiming to see if this approach is worth testing in larger trials.
