First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests whether short, controlled low-oxygen breathing sessions (intermittent hypoxia) can improve blood flow to the brain and thinking skills in adults aged 60-85 with type 2 diabetes. Researchers will compare the breathing training to a placebo in 80 participants. The goal is to find a simple, non-drug way to protect brain health as people age with diabetes.
