Mountain-Air breathing trick may boost MS muscle power

NCT ID NCT06276634

First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests a breathing technique called Acute Intermittent Hypoxia (AIH) in people with multiple sclerosis. Participants breathe short bursts of low oxygen (like at high altitude) to see if it can improve ankle strength and change brain activity. The goal is to understand how AIH works, not to cure MS. About 21 adults with relapsing forms of MS will take part.
