Summary

This study tests whether adding an extra stitch between the ribs during lung surgery can prevent the lung from bulging out (hernia) through the chest wall afterward. About 104 adults having lung surgery will be split into two groups: one gets the extra stitch, the other gets standard closure. A CT scan 3 months later will check for any hernia.
