NCT ID NCT06513156
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special clinic that combines infectious disease and addiction care can reduce the number of infection-related hospital readmissions in people who inject opioids or stimulants. About 304 adults hospitalized with an infection linked to recent injection drug use will be randomly assigned to either the integrated clinic or usual care. The goal is to see if this combined approach leads to better health and fewer repeat hospital stays.
