NCT ID NCT06513156

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special clinic that combines infectious disease and addiction care can reduce the number of people who need to be readmitted to the hospital for infections related to injecting opioids or stimulants. About 304 adults who are hospitalized with an infection and have used these drugs recently will be randomly assigned to either the integrated clinic or usual care. The goal is to see if the integrated approach leads to fewer infection-related hospital readmissions.
