First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests whether small plastic inserts placed in the cornea can reduce vision problems caused by keratoconus, a condition that makes the cornea bulge. The goal is to improve vision and help patients avoid needing a corneal transplant. The study will enroll 25 adults who can no longer see well with glasses or contacts and have transplant as their only other option.
