Summary
This study tested a new insulin patch pump system in 161 adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who needed intensive insulin therapy. Participants were randomly assigned to use either the new patch pump or a standard insulin pump for 7 days in a hospital. The main goal was to see how well the patch pump controlled blood sugar levels compared to the standard pump.
