NCT ID NCT06344234
First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a quick, noninvasive breath-hold test can accurately measure how hard patients are working to breathe while on a breathing machine. Researchers will compare this simple test to the current standard, which requires placing a small tube in the esophagus. The goal is to find a safer, easier way to monitor breathing in 60 adult patients recovering from respiratory failure.
