NCT ID NCT07456319
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether adding insect-based protein to the diet could improve heart health and body composition in older adults. Thirty participants aged 60 and over ate special biscuits made from cricket flour and followed a supervised exercise program for 28 days. Researchers measured changes in cholesterol, weight, muscle strength, and other health markers to see if this sustainable protein source is beneficial.
