Summary

This small pilot study looked at whether eating protein biscuits made from insects (Tenebrio molitor) along with a structured exercise program could improve heart health in adults aged 60 and older. Thirty participants took part for 28 days. The main goal was to measure changes in cholesterol and other blood fats, as well as body weight, blood pressure, and physical function. The study was completed and aimed to gather initial data on a sustainable protein source for healthy aging.
