Can a simple throat injection restore speech and swallowing for cancer survivors?

Summary
Some head and neck cancer survivors develop a condition called velopharyngeal dysfunction (VPD), where the soft palate doesn't close properly, causing nasal-sounding speech and trouble swallowing. This study with 20 adults will first measure how common and severe VPD is, then test whether injecting a filler into the back of the throat can improve these problems. The goal is to find better ways to diagnose and treat VPD in this group.
