First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

Some head and neck cancer survivors have trouble closing the back of their throat, causing nasal-sounding speech and swallowing problems. This study tests whether a throat injection can plump up the throat wall to improve these issues. Researchers will also use advanced tests to better understand the condition. The study involves 20 adults who have had head and neck cancer and currently have speech changes.
