Summary
This study aimed to see if a single 45-minute dose of inhaled nitrous oxide (laughing gas) could quickly reduce suicidal thoughts and depression in adults visiting the emergency department. Participants would have had major depressive disorder and be at immediate risk. The trial was withdrawn before enrolling anyone, so no results are available.
