First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) to standard care can help adults with moderate-to-severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) live longer. About 536 participants will be randomly assigned to receive iNO or a placebo through their ventilator. The main goal is to see if iNO reduces deaths within 28 days and increases time off the ventilator.
