Heat camera may predict pain block success in Kids' surgery
NCT ID NCT07161375
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special heat camera (infrared thermography) can tell if a nerve block is working in children aged 3 months to 6 years having hernia surgery. Researchers will measure temperature changes on the skin to predict if the block is successful. The goal is to find a simple, non-invasive way to confirm pain relief without extra needles or tests.
