First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special heat camera (infrared thermography) can tell doctors if a nerve block is working in children having hernia surgery. About 69 children, ages 3 months to 6 years, will be watched during their operation. The goal is to see if temperature changes on the skin can predict pain relief, which could help doctors improve care without extra needles or tests.
