Simple blood test may predict Post-Surgery sickness in kids

NCT ID NCT07148063

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study checks if certain blood markers of inflammation can help predict nausea and vomiting after orchiopexy (a common surgery for undescended testicles) in children aged 1 to 8. Researchers will measure these markers before surgery and track how many children get sick afterward. The goal is to find a simple way to identify kids at higher risk so doctors can better prevent post-surgery nausea.
