Blood markers may predict dangerous Post-Surgery infections

Summary
This study looks at whether certain substances in the blood can predict deep wound infections after open-heart surgery. Researchers will track 30 patients who already have a deep sternal wound infection to see which blood markers change before and after surgery. The goal is to use these markers to create a prevention plan for future patients.
