Summary
This study tests a safety bundle—staff training, checklists, and audits—to prevent surgical site infections after emergency C-sections and open leg fracture repairs in Ethiopia. About 1,000 patients at public hospitals will be followed for 2 years to measure infection rates and daily functioning. The goal is to reduce infections and antibiotic resistance in life-saving surgeries.
