Scientists track babies for years to unlock flu immunity secrets
NCT ID NCT05436184
Summary
This study aims to understand how a baby's first encounter with the flu—whether through infection or vaccination—shapes their immune system's response to future flu exposures. Researchers will follow 1,500 mother-infant pairs from pregnancy through early childhood, tracking illnesses and immune responses. The goal is to gather detailed information that could help improve future flu vaccines for young children.
