First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving children a small incentive (like a prize) after a medical procedure can lower their anxiety. About 187 children aged 6 to 17 who are having a procedure and are supported by a child life specialist will take part. Their anxiety will be measured before and after the procedure, and researchers will compare those who received an incentive to those who did not.
