In-body CAR-T therapy could make cancer treatment faster and cheaper
NCT ID NCT07362602
First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This early-phase study tests a new type of immunotherapy for people with B-cell blood cancers like lymphoma and leukemia. Instead of removing immune cells, modifying them in a lab, and putting them back, this treatment delivers a messenger RNA (mRNA) payload directly into the body to reprogram the patient's own T cells to attack cancer cells. The goal is to see if it is safe and effective, while potentially being faster and more affordable than current CAR-T therapies. About 47 adults aged 18–70 will take part.
