Summary
This study tested an experimental smallpox vaccine called IMVAMUNE in 226 healthy adults who had never received a smallpox vaccine. Participants received either the vaccine or a placebo, and researchers monitored side effects and immune responses for up to 425 days. The goal was to find the safest and most effective way to give the vaccine.
