New 33-Minute test could speed up deadly blood disorder diagnosis

NCT ID NCT05046717

First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study aims to validate a new, fully automated blood test (HemosIL AcuStar) that measures ADAMTS13 activity, a key marker for diagnosing thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP). Current tests are slow and require manual work, which can delay life-saving treatment. Researchers will compare the new test with standard methods using samples from 500 patients with suspected TTP to see if it is faster and more reliable.
