Summary
This pilot study tests whether a gentle nerve stimulation technique (taVNS) can improve the ability to understand speech in noisy environments for adults aged 55 to 80 with age-related hearing loss. Participants will complete speech perception tasks while receiving either active or inactive stimulation. The goal is to find a new way to help people hear better in social settings when hearing aids fall short.
