Summary
This study looks at how to improve needle exchange programs in Canadian federal prisons so that more people who inject drugs use them. Researchers will work in nine prisons, including five women's prisons, to find what helps or hinders program use and put strategies in place to increase participation. The goal is to reduce the spread of HIV and hepatitis C among incarcerated individuals.
