Summary
This study tested whether personalized text message reminders could help mothers of critically ill infants pump more breast milk. 122 mothers with babies in the NICU who planned to provide breast milk participated. Researchers sent real-time biomarker-based texts to encourage pumping and measured milk volume and pumping frequency.
