New program aims to stop repeat dental surgeries in kids

Summary

This study tests a 6-month program called PROTECT that helps caregivers of young children improve tooth brushing and reduce sugar intake after dental surgery. The goal is to prevent cavities from coming back and avoid the need for more surgeries. About 420 caregivers and their children will take part, with support from community health workers.
