Breaking down barriers: two new programs aim to fix kidney transplant inequality
NCT ID NCT04615819
Summary
This study compares two different support programs designed to help Hispanic/Latino and American Indian patients complete the kidney transplant evaluation process. Researchers want to see whether a faster evaluation track or having a former transplant patient as a guide works better to get patients on the transplant waiting list. The goal is to reduce racial disparities in who receives a kidney transplant, which is the best treatment for kidney failure.
