Breaking barriers: two new programs aim to fix kidney transplant inequality
NCT ID NCT04615819
Summary
This study tests two different approaches to help Hispanic and American Indian patients complete the kidney transplant evaluation process. Researchers are comparing a streamlined fast-track system against a peer support program where former transplant patients guide newcomers. The goal is to find the most effective way to reduce disparities in who receives life-saving kidney transplants.
