Summary
This study aims to find adults who may have familial hypercholesterolemia (FH), a genetic condition that causes very high cholesterol and is often missed. Researchers will use a computer tool to scan health records and then apply behavioral strategies to encourage proper diagnosis and treatment. About 750 patients from Penn Medicine will take part, and the goal is to improve detection and management of this serious but treatable condition.
