First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a method called public deliberation, where community members learn about a topic, hear different viewpoints, and discuss it together to find fair solutions. The goal was to improve how teens from diverse backgrounds give consent to join HIV prevention research, especially when involving parents might cause harm. 128 people aged 14 and older took part in online sessions to share their views on different consent options.
