First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tested a method called public deliberation, where community members learn about a topic, hear different views, and discuss it together to find fair solutions. Researchers wanted to see if this approach could improve how teens from marginalized communities give consent for HIV prevention research. 128 people aged 14 and older took part in online sessions to share their opinions on different consent options.
