Summary
This study aims to develop better methods for preparing donor blood cells for bone marrow transplants. Researchers are working with healthy volunteers to collect blood cells and test ways to remove the white blood cells that can cause dangerous immune reactions in transplant patients, while keeping the helpful stem cells needed for recovery. The goal is to make bone marrow transplants safer by reducing the risk of graft-versus-host disease, a serious complication.
