NCT ID NCT05238519
First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether motivational interviews can improve knowledge about familial hypercholesterolemia (FH), a genetic condition causing very high cholesterol. About 300 people with suspected or confirmed FH will either get usual care or a coaching conversation. The goal is to see if this helps patients understand their condition better and encourages them to talk to family members about getting tested.
