Tiny device implanted in liver to test cancer drugs before surgery
NCT ID NCT07193862
Summary
This early safety study is testing a tiny, implantable device in patients with colorectal cancer that has spread to the liver. The device is placed into the liver tumor a few days before the patient's scheduled surgery to remove the tumor. Researchers will remove the device with the tumor and analyze the surrounding tissue to see how the cancer cells responded to small amounts of drugs released from the device, aiming to learn if this method can safely help guide future treatment choices.
