New study to watch how impella pump changes heart function

Summary
This study will observe 24 adults with end-stage heart failure who need a temporary Impella 5.5 heart pump. Researchers will use ultrasound to measure changes in heart function before, right after, and 7-14 days after the pump is placed. The goal is to learn how the pump affects both sides of the heart, not to test a new treatment.
