Simple tooth extraction trick may save you from sinus surgery
NCT ID NCT07526129
First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether preserving the jawbone right after a back tooth is pulled can help avoid a sinus lift procedure later when placing a dental implant. Researchers will compare two groups of adults: those who had a standard extraction and those who had a bone-preserving treatment. By measuring bone height on scans taken months later, they hope to see if the preservation method reduces the need for additional sinus surgery.
