Jawbone preservation may reduce need for sinus surgery before implants

NCT ID NCT07526129

First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study reviews 10 years of dental records to see if preserving the jawbone after removing upper back teeth can lower the chance of needing a sinus lift before getting dental implants. Researchers will compare patients who had bone preservation with those who did not, using CT scans to measure bone height. The goal is to understand which approach leads to simpler implant placement.
