First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether breaking the remaining membrane when a pregnant woman's water breaks early can shorten the time until labor starts naturally. About 130 women with a single baby in head-down position will be observed. The goal is to see if this simple step reduces the need for labor induction after 48 hours.
