Could common immune drugs slow Parkinson's?

NCT ID NCT06834191

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at whether taking immunosuppressive drugs for other health issues can slow down Parkinson's disease. Researchers will compare two groups of people with Parkinson's: those who have been on long-term immunosuppressive medication and those who have not. The goal is to see if these drugs affect how quickly Parkinson's symptoms progress. Participants attend one appointment for motor tests, symptom questionnaires, a blood sample, and a medical history review.
