First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study watches 170 patients on breathing machines to see if a weak immune system (immunoparalysis) leads to pneumonia. It compares elderly (65+) with younger adults and healthy people. The goal is to understand how long and how strongly the immune system is suppressed, without giving any treatment.
