First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study uses advanced MRI scans to see how knee cartilage is doing 10 years after ACL reconstruction surgery. Researchers will compare the repaired knee to the healthy knee in 219 adults who had an ACL tear from sports. The goal is to learn more about why some people develop post-traumatic osteoarthritis after this common injury. No new treatments or medications are being tested.
