NCT ID NCT01345851

First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tested a new way of giving radiation therapy (called image-guided hypofractionated radiotherapy with a stereotactic boost) along with standard chemotherapy for people with stage II or III non-small cell lung cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. The goal was to find the highest safe dose of radiation that can kill cancer cells while limiting damage to healthy tissue. About 29 adults took part, and the researchers measured how well the treatment controlled the tumor and how long people lived.
