Scientists track 575 Crohn's patients after surgery to uncover recurrence clues

Summary
This study follows 575 adults with Crohn's disease who have had part of their intestine removed. Researchers collect medical history, blood, tissue, and stool samples to better understand why the disease often comes back after surgery. The goal is to create a more detailed classification of ileal Crohn's disease and identify biomarkers that could predict recurrence or response to treatments. No new treatments are being tested.
