Scientists reprogram immune cells to hunt down rare blood cancer

Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new cell therapy for adults with a rare and aggressive blood cancer called eosinophilic leukemia that has not responded to standard treatments. Doctors will modify a patient's own immune cells (called CAR-T cells) to recognize and attack the cancer. The main goals are to see if this approach is safe and if it can put the cancer into remission.
